On the nitro tap in a scottish bar in Cincinnati. Deep amber color with the fine creamy off-white head you get from the nitro. The nose was a thin sweetness with the washed out sense I find out with a nitro pour. Very smooth mouthfeel. Caramel sweetness with some peat smokiness and toast. A solid standard.

Nutty brown color, with foamy white head that mostly dissipated after a couple minutes. Light aroma, some smokiness. Smooth, almost creamy mouth feel. Flavors of caramel and a bit of cinammon. Overall, decent.

Bottle: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, small, quickly collapsing "dirty" white head; distinctive sweet and toasted-malty nose with a touch of aromatic hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour; quite medium-bodied for a beer of 3.9%; sweetish-malty finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste. A fine, satisfying ale.............

I don’t really like this beer very much. A little too malty and chocolaty for a bitter. Not a very good finish. It looks good but doesn’t have much of an aroma. I thought it was better the first time I tried it.

Nice brownish color, with a tinge of orange to it. Pours a beautiful frothy cream-colored head, which disappates after a few minutes. Malty nose. Nice malty flavor as would be expected from a Scottish ale, and you have slight malt on the aftertaste. I generally like hoppy beers, but this is a nice change of pace. Would buy again.

Bottle. Clear dark amber-brown colour with a nice mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma of some mild smokiness, maltiness, some roasty maltiness, dark fruitish touch and caramel. Flavour is smoky with roasted malts, caramel, bit nutty with some bitterness. The finish is smoky and lighttly bitter.

Pours a brownish gold with a sweet malty nose, soapy head that settles into a lightly carbonated 50% lazy lacing.. Body smoky and light. crisp finish
