PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Oct 23, 2006 Pours a nice looking golden/amber with a dense creamy tan head. The aroma is fruity and spicy. Creamy body and mouthfeel. Bitter fruityness (plummy), roasted fig aspect. A touch of spicyness and has a balancing light dryness in the finish. Good flavors and body texture, considering the low alcohol content. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Oct 22, 2006 (500ml bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store in Fairfield Plaza, Victoria. Pours a medium, tan head with a light brown body. Nose of roasted caramel malt. Really unimpressed with this beer as I thought there would be more malt-base to it. I found it rather watery and thin - all the while the malt didn’t hold much mossy or earthy tones. Lacking. A disappointment. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Oct 16, 2006 Very good. This thing was smooth, man, I’m talkin’ SMOOTH. It just rolls down the ol’ throat like an avalanche. Thoroughly enjoyed this brew. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2006 Bottle. Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel malts, smoke, and hops. The flavor is citrus, caramel, smoke, bitter upfront, finish slightly sweet. Good body, decent brew. ehhdayton (1113), USA Oct 6, 2006 Pours a copperish golden with a thick creamy head. The aroma is lighlty malty and the flavor has mild malty sweetness with a faint hit of hops. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Sep 25, 2006 12oz - Poured red/brown with a medium lived creamy head. Good lacing throughout. Nose of wood, with a smoky rausch flavor to it. Good beer with food, specifically smoked items. Nice. jrdbassman (3), USA does not count Sep 23, 2006 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Smells of smokey malts. Taste is nice, though alcohol never comes through... tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 22, 2006 Fruity esters, caramel and toasty malts along with a herbal note to the aroma. Clear burnished copper coloured body is topped by a low but lasting cover of cream coloured head. Caramel malts and chocolates are strong up front followed by an ashy, smokey and bitter flavour with grape, raisin, prune and fig fruitiness in the back end. Medium body is quite dry with fairly lively carbonation that engages the tongue and cheeks. Tumbler. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BCLS at Commercial, Sep-06).
