Pours dark amber with a small creamy head that calls your mouth to it. Aroma of light malt. Taste is malty, slight nut, & mainly a malty tasting beer. The tap version is a lot more creamy than the bottle.

On tap at Austin Saucer on July 11, 2009. Impressive silky white head... almost unreal. Reddish-brown color. Crazy thick lacing. A nicely malty brew with a bitter flavor and a hint of moss. Delectable!

Bottle. Brownish amber pour. Malt, nuts, light bitterness, citrus, and some earthiness. Another marginal beer from this brewery.

Pours a deep amber with a large, fluffy head that recedes slowly. Aroma is of molasses, maple, a little nutty. Flavor is of chestnuts, a little brown sugar, and lemon. Cardboard too. Mouthfeel is full, with nice carbonation throughout. Overall, good minus.

12 oz. bottle (2009) in a shaker; pretty straightforward bitter. Pours a nutty brown/amber w/ nutty and malty aromas; flavor is standard for an English bitter (sorry if that is unhelpful); lacks too much sophistication, but would make for a great session brew; wait for this one to warm up a bit.

slick feel, lively carbonation, earthy smell and taste, tan head, sparkling brown ale. Good taste. Not too complex. No lingering after taste. Not great but better than average.
