I was slightly disapointed with this one, too light and wussy to be from scotland. However, i did enjoy it throughly and liked the clear clean flavors

Initial strong smokey flavor almost turned me completely off, but beer finished nicely. McEwans much better.

Looks real tasty and love that widget but this beer’s has a subpar taste of stale cashews. Didnt really enjoy it too much. Halfway through i was praying it would turn into a Guinness.

Color very dark amber, transparent. Good head rentention. Nose smoky/whiskey-maltish, nice. Flavor a bit too bitter and dry for the style, I thought; malty and chewy but not sweet at all. Not bad, but certainly not great.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2007 Light amber color with a beige head and lots of lacing. Tootsie roll aroma. Flavor of malt, nuts and a little chocolate.

Was not impressed at all, expected much better, thin and really no flavor other than malt and it wasn’t enough
