Truly a great beer. One of the best ales I have tasted, a bit pricey to buy, but very much worth it.

Little head, deep amber color. toasty, smoky scent, taste going on with a hint of nuttiness. Smooth as can be. A Good Scottish Ale.

Nice nutty maltiness with a slight caramel edge to it. I love the light smokiness that rides along the whole way. Lightly hopped and slightly dry make this a great dinner brew. Nicely done.

One overheard opinion had this beer tasting like ’junior high funk’. Sweet, slightly smoky, not balanced. Not sharp; rather heavy and ponderous.

Thin and watery. The most decernable flavor to me was the peatiness. A little earthiness. Umm, wet soil.

A very good tasting Scottish Ale brewed with noticable peat smoked malts with a nice blend of hopps.

pretty disappointing, very watery and lacking flavor. No were near McEwan’s.

Great malty aroma, no hops aroma, no faults. Perfect color and clarity. Malt is lost in the flavor, thinner bodied and drier than expected. No faults, this is good beer, just not as full bodied as I had hoped.

Rootbeer brown in color. Slightly yeasty, to me almost a wheat beer flavor. Mildly malty and slightly tart. Not bad, but not as good as Belhaven’s other products.
