Clear, copper with low head. Light aroma of caramel and malts, nothing more. Taste is better, it’s also caramelly furthermore some fruity (dark fruits) and hint of nutty note. Finish is slightly hoppy (spicy and earthy). Low body. High carbonation. Average ale.

Catch-up rating. The beer looks nice with a copper body with a thick creamy head. This has a nice amount of sweet malt and a different sort of fruit smell. The taste is very nice with a strong amount of malt, but it because sort of a chocolate flavor. There is also a good amount of burnt caramel.

Nitro Can. Poured thick and creamy, nitrogen settling to form solid browny-red hue with good thick head. Aroma sweet whiskey with touch of vanilla. Moderate malts but not getting nuttiness or hops it claims. Though thin, it is smooth on palate, no carbonation, but a little airy-light on body (due to nitro?). A little simpler than was expecting.

2/1/14 $5.75 can at CHOW 284 drank at dinner with Dan and nancy. Mouthfeel of a Guinness. Bored me and drank quickly and went for the DFH90 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Never the same on this side of the pond! Still, good malt, nice honey flavor. Pleasant grains on the nose.

Pen & Paper Log (Jan 2011) Aroma - the malt aroma is really enjoyable, with great doughy and caramel notes. With a certain aroma I’ve only smelled in woody spirits. Appearance - one of the best setups I’ve seen for a beer. The nitrogen set-up is similar to the way a Guinness arrives to it’s final product, with a cascading nitrogen shower inside the glass. The body is a caramel type of color with a massive tight beige head that lasts and lasts, quite incredible in appearance. Taste - the taste is malty, nutty, caramel, slight bitters, and even a subtle woody spirit-oaked essence about it. Really incredible! Palate - the body is medium-full, the texture extraordinarily creamy and soothingly smooth. The carbonation highly nitrogen carbonated - creating a sauve wave of bubble body. The finish is super enjoyable. If you see this beer, make sure you grab the can version. The bottle is not the same thing, and quite disappointing.

500 ml bottle at Fox and Hounds, Åbenraa. Amber body with a few floaters and a small off-white head. Moderate malty aroma with hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet malty, caramel and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. A decent, straight forward session beer.

Pours pale coppery with off-white medium soapy top. Aroma - malt, caramel, candy, fruity-yeasty, min hops. Sweet candy taste with nice, light bitter touch at the end but not casual, like dry-bitter, grassy. Nice taste, nice flavor balance, light dry finish seems from hopping with low AA hops. To me it’s typical English ale not bitter cause of light bitter in flavor and totally casual grain bill with no toasted or darker malts. But pleasant one. Medium body, average carbonation, watery-compote texture, long mild bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle. Poured a beautiful bronze color with nice head. Caramel and toffee dominate the aroma. Light sweetness. Lighter bodied than some scotch ales. Smooth and drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
