2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This poured a semi murky lighter brown color with a white head. Aroma was of light brown sugar, peated malt, and caramel. Flavor was similar, somewhat watery and bland but a perfect example of the style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Clear dark amber pour with a thin tan head. Nose is caramelly sweet and bready. Waves of sweet bready malt. Not much in the way of hops and some skunkiness. Taste is bitter maltiness, a bit of sharp booziness, and a touch of grassy hops. Finishes with sweet malt. Pretty sharp. Slick and thin bodied.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint at The Globe. Pours an amber with a small 1cm white head. Aroma is of cow corn mash and cow corn grain from my uncle’s dairy farm. Start is very acidic with more of that corn mash taste. Finish is more astringent. Watery and over carbonated.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a slight red tinge a smallish white head. Nose is fairly bitter with that dryness I find typical of English styles hops. Taste is a bit bitter, with some good malts and toastiness coming through.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This light brown beer had an almost slinky aroma. It tasted better than it smelled. It had a nutty malt flavor.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: from (nitro) tap at Doyle’s Public House.
Aroma: moderately sweet and grainy.
Appearance: large, creamy, off-white, initial head with excellent lacing (a sheet down the entire side of the glass) and mostly lasting longevity. Clear, flat, dark-yellow/light amber body.
Taste: lightly acidic and roasty initial flavor and acetic/sour finish with average duration.
Palate: medium body, creamy texture and no carbonation.
Overall: an interesting beer. Complex flavor. Look forward to drinking this beer again.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a copper color with a foamy white head. Skunky aroma at first pour. Burnt hop scent lingers a bit then fades, followed by a sweet malt and caramel aroma as it warms. Taste is loaded with caramel, toffee, slight skunkiness, and burnt grains. Nice malty feel with a very subtle bitterness. Would be a great session beer. Very enjoyable and refreshing.
