12 oz. bottle. Light brown pour with a big creamy light beige head. A light color for a Scottish ale. Has a very faint aroma, slightly malty, brown sugar, and earthy. Sweet flavor, brown sugar again, at first not much bitterness but the then the finish is somewhat bitter. The sweetness covers up a lot of the bitterness, almost no carbonation in the medium body.

It is a somewhat mild Scottish ale, but it certainly has great values. It smells a little smoky, warm malty and slightly fruity. All these odors reflected again in taste and I could drink it in buckets and hours; I think!

Pours dark amber to brown with an orange hue and a thick off-white head. Lots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is heavy malty with caramel, toffee, fruity, a bit hoppy. The taste is dry, medium bitterness, lightly acidic

Not its biggest fan, picked up a couple of bottles from B and M of the 5.2% if it hadn’t been for this I don’t think there would be much flavour. What there was a bit nutty but left a bad taste. Will avoid in future.

Not a fan. Appeared flat n tinny tasting (probably the result of residing in a can..yuck!) Maybe I got a dud. Did have a nice color to it though.

Clear amber brown with tan head. Light malt toffee aroma. Taste is pungent yet thin (light body). Woodsy earthy finish. Not bad, but I am not running to the store to get more either.
