3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear amber brown color with medium creamy off-white head, fair lacing and flat visible carbonation. Aroma of caramel, toffee, biscuit malts, nuts, dried fruits and mild grassy hops. Taste starts with heavy sweet caramel and toffee, following is even sweeter nutty and fruity with almost no acidity, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium to full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Well brewed, but still not my favorite style...

Bottle 0,33L. Clear, dark copper colour with average, light brown, frothy head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramwl and nuts. Taste starts light acidic and finish light sweet. Inbetween I found some nutty taste and fruitiness. Medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. OK beer, but nothing more.

Nitro Can, poured with a thick foamy head, tons of lacing. Copper colored with a flowing carbonation from the nitro. Caramel Malt. Smooth, creamy, a little sweet and slight hop bite to the finish. It is a very drinkable and balanced brew as a Scottish Ale should be.

2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very strong aroma, nutty, toasty, and roasted malt smell. Pours into a pint glass with a thick head at the top of the beer. Dark brown nutty color. Taste is very heavy with a nut based after taste. Creamy and thick finish. Not a favorite of mine.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33cl kindly shared by Calisky. A clear amber beer with low head. Nose is on caramel and brown caramel, aroma is on caramel too, peated touch, sweet malt, brown cereals, brown bred, light vanilla, good body. Pleasant peated finish, quite complex for this low alcohol, nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Widget can. Pours a clear amber with a heavy dark ruby cast. After the initial gas rush, the head is normal. Lacing and retention are above normal. Light nose of caramel. No effervescence on the finish. Light medium body, yet slick. Laid back balanced flavor profile. It begins with a light caramel sweetness that flows into a mild bitterness with a touch of smoke. As it warms, dark fruit notes are there, but subtle. Smooth finish with a touch of hop flavor. A mineral like taste lingers. A solid offering, but not in the class of Founder’s Dirty Bastard.
