Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

Cloudy dark amber with a thick creamy head. Caramel aroma. Both the flavor and aroma are one-note. Just tastes like canned beer. Drain pour,as far as I’m concerned.

Bottle from Bierlieb. Generally a malty beer with a rather low carbonization and low bitterness. Nutty indeed, but there’s not much to discover. Rather plain.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 33cl. Pours amber red colour with an moderate off-white head. Nutty malty aroma with some caramel, earthness, yeast and fruits to it. Sweety maltness in flavour, nutty creamy biscuits and toffee. Very low bitterness. Smooth and easy drinkable, but forgetable as well.

330ml Flasche. Klar und bernsteinfarben. Ohne Schaumkrone. Starkes Karamellaroma. Moderat süss. Durchschnittlicher Körper. Kräftig ausklingend.

From a 500ml bottle. L: Pours a reddish brown, clear, small off-white head. S: plenty of nutty, earthy malt, some ale yeast mustiness. T: very nice, full-flavoured malt base, tinges of dry fruit, nutty, low sweetness. Straightforward and clean. F: a little lively fizz up front and a warming maltiness across the palate. O: very tasty traditional style British ale. I love a good malty brew.

I tried this from a tall boy can, nitro. It had the great pour and velvety feel I was expecting. Nice, mellow flavor. I’ll have this beer again!

Why does everything I have from green king taste so boring? Pours orange with pillow of head and great lacing. Touch of citrus and malt. Clean finish. Tap at pizza paradiso.
