Malty and hoppy, we at Belhaven love the classic Scottish Ale and we’ve been brewing it longer than any of the other beers we produce. Delivering a sweet, smooth and creamy finish, Scottish Ale has a stunning ruby colour in the glass. Magic.

Now available in the UK, bottled as part of GK’s crafty range. Deep reddish brown with a thin head, dark invert sugar on the nose, plus a faint metallic musty note. Sweet and lightly roasty, with burnt sugar.

Copenhagen 26/7 2015. 33 cl bottle from Rema 1000. Lion on a shield to frighten potential invaders away. Pours clear amber with white head. Disappears quickly. Aroma is sweetish with caramel, malts and nuts. Medium carbonation. Taste follows the nose. Light sweetness. Toffee, nuts and biscuits. Almost no bitterness around. If you are into sweet biscuits and Tea this is perfect.

Mörkbrun klar med vit skum. Doftar och smakar som de flesta engelska /skotska ale gör. Sött, maltigt med någon orenhet

Piwo o ładnej bursztynowej barwie. Piana opada dość szybko i zostaje z niej niewielki, utrzymujący się pierścień. Bardzo ładny aromat owoców (głównie brzoskwinie i rodzynki). W smaku wyczuwalne delikatne palone nuty, karmel i głównie owoce. Samo piwo wydaje się dość lekkie i przyjemne. Goryczka niska, Wysycenie średnie.

Nitro tap at Trinity Irish Pub West Chester Ohio. Pours a clear copper color. Aromas of, caramel, leather and vanilla. Taste the same with some malty sweetness. Not bad but didn’t wow me. Lots of lacing in the glass. Light medium mouth feel.

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, and hint of bread. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel and bready finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. An almost clear one, copper colored and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is quite malty, in a nice way, with some toffee and prunes. Not much hoppyness kicking in. It’s smooth, full-bodied and semi-sweet on the palate, wtih roasted notes, toffee, prunes, raisins and some bitterness in the flavor. Long finish on the malty side, with quite a lot of dried fruits. Decent indeed, but a tad boring I think. 150711
