500mL thanks to oteyj. Pours deep brune with a larger beige head. Good wispy tan lacing. Nose is very odd. Soy sauce and Asian stir fry vegetal character. Skunky hop character like Becks or Heineken. Small redeeming coffee and cheap chocolate. Taste is really thin and ashy. A little Worthers butterscotch candy and toffee. No stout character. Small soy sauce. Tartness in the end with a lot of dirt and ash. Really odd. Feels like an off bottle of Guinness Foreign Extra. Tart back end. Too thin overall. Eh. Clear bottle fail.

Bottle. Nearly black body with a light brown sugar tinted head. The nose was fairly roasted with some pancakes and notes of apple. There is also some peanuts and a little vegetable note of carrots. The taste is old very sweet coffee. There is also some cola character here, but maybe I am imagining that because of the incredible sweetness. A little hint of grapefruit hops is obliterated by this sugar bomb. Not good.

Aroma a bit odd for me. Pours black with creamed coffee head that lingers. Coffee and toffee notes with long lasting mouth watering aftertaste.

Dont understand the high ratings. Didn’t seem like there was anything to write home about for this bDer. Very thin for a stout. And not a very nice aftertaste. Seemed empty.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tkrjukoff (2669) - SWEDEN - NOV 6, 2011
Bottle 50 cl, Alko Arkadia. Pours black with ruby tones, has a great creamy brown head and leaves small lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, ashy, caramel, chocolate, bready and slightly fruity. Flavor is sweet, fruity, malty, roasted, acidy, caramel and molassis. Very good and easily drinkable. Finishes malty and bitter.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cybercat (1900) - Georgia, USA - NOV 3, 2011
Aroma is smoky, like a good stout, with a floral hint and tones of coffee and wood. It pours a deep warm sable that is a little translucent at the very edges and has a thick, fine-bubbled, fairly persistent light tan head that "pillows" in the middle after a bit. Smoky flavor has woody, unsweet chocolate and fruity tones. Firm-bodied texture has a fair amount of fizz and leaves a burnt wood finish. Overall, not too shabby.
