4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours into glass tar black with a lovely brown head that dissipates quickly. Leaves behind brown sticky lacing with small bubbles around the glass.
Doesn't have a strong ale... In fact you might have to shove your nose into the glass to smell it. When you do get close enough... Chocolate truffle, vanilla, caramel, and roasted barley.
The taste... The taste is amazing. This is a stout. You notice just how smooth this brew is... The chocolate and vanilla notes dance on your tongue with the malt and barely emerging at the end. Just the right carbonation. No bite or sting. There is a nice balance of malt and finishing hops here.
Probably, personally, one of the best stouts I've ever had.
