Stort fluffigt skum, dofter av karamell, säd och honung når näsan. En ytterst skön gräddighet i smaken, där röda bär, kola och citrus dominerar. Mycket trevlig öl.

Bottle at home. Clear amber pour, thin white head. Aroma is malty, somewhat fruity, slightly spicy and a bit of resin and raisins. Flavor is slightly bitter, slightly sweet, quite mild, but very well balanced. Well drinkable.

500ml Brown bottle best before Dec 2010, reviewed and drank on 03 Nov 2010. Poured into an ’Abbot Ale’ glass tankard. Looks the bussiness, lovely dark amber, clear body, with a white foaming crown on top. The beer gives off a malty, peaty smell, rich and on the sweet side. The taste is of a rich, semi-sweet, malty flavoured ale, it hits my idea of a Scottish Ale to a tee. The body is full, wholesome and smooth in the mouthfeel, some might prefer a hop presence, but to me this is a very drinkable beer. I actually bought this in St Andrews, I’m glad I did.

Flaske 0,5l fra ICA Stakkevollan. Gyldenbrun. OK luftig skum som varer en stund. God karamellaroma. Smaken fruktig: Plommer. Syrlig bitter ettersmak som henger i.

500ml clear bottle at 4.6%ABV pours amber in color with a creamy white head that leaves some nice lacing down the glass. Aroma is caramel with grassy hops. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with some light fruits and a grassy hop bitterness that lingers a while. Medium body with abundant carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the tongue. A decent bitter style beer that is quite refreshing.

Strong Burton-like notes (Bass) in the nose, with honey, strawberry jam, maybe a touch of whiskey. Dusky gold-copper, thin head with a heavy lace curtain. Deep roasty sweetness. A well-balanced aftertaste. Medium body, very smooth. Quite reminiscent of Bass Pale Ale.
