A full-bodied and malty ale with a rounded, smooth fruit palate and a tight, creamy head that laces all the way down the glass. Rich in colour with a smooth, creamy texture and a distinctively strong flavour.

Stong scotch, sugary aroma. One of the strongest aromas I have experienced so far. Pours a lovely copper brown, thick head. Looks great in my Guinness glass. Downhill from there. Has a unenjoyable palate. Hint of smokiness, combined with the cigarette-butt aftertaste. Description on the back of the bottle talks about the golf course and skips the beer. Now we know why.

Smells and tastes like smokey, lightly watered down scotch whiskey with slightly bitter hop flavor. Dark reddish brown in color. Good head diminishes very quickly.Light to medium body or mouthfeel. Not much sweetness. Decent carbonation stays. Tasted a little bland. Maybe this was an old bottle, but I probably won't try this one again.

Sweet, fruit and malt aroma. Copper, pours a large vanilla head. Malt, caramel, almost no bitterness. Thin mouthfeel, good but I'm sure this was better when it was fresh.

Burnt caramel color. Tan head, very creamy with good lace. Fruity, hoppy and malty. The entire package comes together pretty well.

This stuff is sweet to the taste mild after taste, and it goes down so smooth. Cheap for what you get

Bottle. Dark amber color with a ight cream colored head. Light Otter malt aromas, with hay and peat. Quite silky in feel. Malty flavors with a touch of peat. Very balanced, but quite bland. Much prefer the "Wee Heavy".

Extremely malty, with a lot of body and flavor intensity. Hops are light and present only in the finish. I can’t imagine a bunch of lame golfers drinking this stuff. They all seem like Zima types.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2004 I used to love the toffee aroma and smooth toffee malt flavors...and I must say, I do still like them a lot...However, its a bit thin on my modern palate..That being said..the pour produced an interesting bourbon-amber color...a thin sheet of somewhat lace resistant head tops things off...nice nutty toffee aromas and flavors...It might be a bit thin, but i still like this beer.
