3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Large, billowing head on pour, quite typical clear reddish/caramel color, large bubbles of carbonation rising in the glass. Wonderful aroma--half suggesting an English strong ale, and half sweet malt, with a tinge of earthiness and peatiness. The flavor kept changing as it warmed--first malty, then more hoppiness, and although it ended up with a metallic bitterness, most of the flavors were interesting, with notes of fruit and roasted malt. Palate was slightly disappointing, losing its body and being a bit thin. Overall good, but not my favorite Belhaven.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium amber clear with medium size shortish lasting pale yellow head and sporadic lace. Faint hops, caramel malt (becoming stronger when warmed) and hint of musty cellar aroma. Intruiguing earthiness combined with quite a dry palate. Wafts of sweetness and fruit. Light roasted malt, nutty and light bitter hoppy flavours. Malty sweetish dry finish and long dry bitter musty after taste.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Absolutely beautiful crystal clear amber color. Heavy sweet malt aroma. The flavor is malty with some grass/dirt notes to it. The hops kick in just a little in the finish, leaving a dry tangy feel on the tongue. Well rounded beer. I likes...I likes.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big malty aroma, some chocolate, slightly bitter finish. Surprisingly sweet for such a small beer. Not much detectable hops.

Has a nice malty taste with a bit of hoppiness coming through. Bit of peat in there also. Probably would taste even better after hitting out of the pot bunkers at St. Andrews!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear light copper. Thick, frothy off white head. Robust big bubbled carbonation. Light aroma of peat, mild soap and dry grass. Initially a tad fizzy but spunky with an earthy, tangy, peat smoked flavor. Medium light body. Fairly clean. Easy drinking, smooth. Long, tangy aftertaste. Fizziness settles out. Grassy, floral hop flavor appears and tries to snuff out the smoky flavor. Bone dry. Finishes tangy still, with a balanced rough edge and mild fruit skin flavor. Just an easy going, every day, session Scottish Ale. The name’s not bad either.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rather bland, not much flavor going on, little to no head, decent brown color, seemed a bit watered down
