A full-bodied and malty ale with a rounded, smooth fruit palate and a tight, creamy head that laces all the way down the glass. Rich in colour with a smooth, creamy texture and a distinctively strong flavour.

Ok Scottish Ale. Malty and smokey flavor. Finishes thin and mild for a Scottish ale.

Light amber, medium off-white head, sweet malty nose with fruity notes. Mostly fruity flavor with a hint of smoke, but not much. The fruit seems a touch overripe. Fairly sweet. Nothing special.

Copper color, light head, caramel and candylike aroma. Nice mix of caramel and hops.

Nice amber color with a creamy head that doesn't last. Aroma is slightly maltly. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. This would be a good beer to wash down a cheeseburger and french fries.

This one pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Not much aroma, just a faint maltiness that tickles the nose. Medium body with medium carbonation, it has a light malty flavor all the way through with a touch of caramel and chocolate. The finish is slightly sweet with caramel. Not bad, but not quite as good as the regular Belhaven Scottish Ale or the Wee Heavy.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2003 Bottled: Ruby coloured. Quickly diminishing head. Not particular much aroma. Vague notes of cocoa. Flavour is bland. Notes of chocolate. Not much going on in the aftertaste.

This was a decent scottish ale. Amber in color with a lasting white head. Tasted somewhat metallic but still a decent beer.

good ale. light clean flavor. drinkable, yet un remarkable. It seems to be more about golf then about the beer

A pretty good scots ale. Fairly well rounded with a nice flavor. Just needs a little more kick.

(Bottle) Pours a medium, creamy white head and an amber body. Aroma of roasted malt and fruit. Subtle, smokey flavour. Rather bland ale.
