Bottle. Pours clear, yellow, with a good slightly tanned frothy head that holds well. Full bodied, light carbonation, very fine bubbles, lots of lacing. Aroma is malt, biscuits. Taste is grassy, malty bread, fruity. Finish is clean, a bit dry and sweet, crisp finish. A nice malty beer.

I remember this being really tasty 20 years ago, tasting it a few days ago, I was very disappointed, bland, tasteless beer.

Scottish ale apparently brewed in honour of St. Andrews, home of golf. Regularly shaped, mousse-like, yellowish white, nicely sticky and perfectly stable head, colour a deep reddish amber, cristal clear. Nutty and caramelly malts in the nose, bit smoky accent, fruit (peach, mango, grapefruit), grassy hops, nutmeg, peat, bitter honey, wheaty accent. Crispy fruitiness with lively carbonation, smooth and thinnish, bit oily mouthfeel, caramel malt base evolving in a strong nuttiness and ending in a peppery hoppy and lightly smoky, long and interesting finish. Very well-balanced, tasty ale.
