3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: yum! Different hops that all come together beautifully. Biscuity malt. Delicious. Somewhat soapy and neste-like. Definitely my type of aroma. Very faint scent of liquorice.
Flavour: Initially sweet and reminiscent of cookies – in a delicious way. Mild hop bitterness kicks in and makes it a very palatable albeit mild beer. I think of getting inside a cosy cabin at winter, fresh baked cookies and some fluffy beer. Some of that liquorice again, and it doesn’t fit the taste as well as the aroma. Slightly roasted aftertaste. Overall much breadier than expected.
Appearance: Clear, yellowish orange body w/ some pale, frothy head.
Palate: Fluffy, delicious.

Svaga smakar av malt, humle, karamell, citrus, grapefrukt. Lätt kropp, fruktig med något pepprig beska med smak av grapefrukt.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice beer smell and golden color, with tiny head. I can't see anything from an IPA in it, but this is how a lager should taste + a bit of a lemon aftertaste. I'd give it a very good overall, specially if one is thirsty

Bottle from tesco, 5.6%. A decent beer but lacking any real hop presence to allow it to compete with most IPAs.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Yamaya. Clear gold, foamy white head with decent lacing. Aroma has sweet fruit. Flavour has very subtle hops, mostly sweet malty notes, some citrus. A stark contrast to a west coast IPA, however very drinkable.

It was a bit weak but had a light enjoyable finish to it. Its a good session beer, but lacking the strong bitterness taste when comparing with the famous American style IPA’s of today however its got some decent flavours in it that made me wanting to drink more. Overall I liked it.

I prefer Belhaven’s classic bitter ales to this guy. After one is so well acquainted with a good West Coast IPA, it becomes hard to find the craving for this beer. It is balanced and tastes alright but the hops are very subtle. When I order an IPA I’m expecting something stickier, more citrus, and above all big hop flavor. I didn’t get that here.

Blindtest: Lukt: lys karamell, litt tropiske frukter, humle. Smak: lett, litt malt, liten bitterhet, lite karbonering, heller mot Pale Ale nesten litt lager, men for bitter til det...
