3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: yum! Different hops that all come together beautifully. Biscuity malt. Delicious. Somewhat soapy and neste-like. Definitely my type of aroma. Very faint scent of liquorice.
Flavour: Initially sweet and reminiscent of cookies – in a delicious way. Mild hop bitterness kicks in and makes it a very palatable albeit mild beer. I think of getting inside a cosy cabin at winter, fresh baked cookies and some fluffy beer. Some of that liquorice again, and it doesn’t fit the taste as well as the aroma. Slightly roasted aftertaste. Overall much breadier than expected.
Appearance: Clear, yellowish orange body w/ some pale, frothy head.
Palate: Fluffy, delicious.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 33cl. Pours clear and golden with an off-white head. Nose is lots of exotic grapefruits, oranges, Cascada hops and pine. Simple mediumsweet flavour with pine, oranges, grapes, pine, light caramel, butter and bitter hops. Oily texture. Fine balance. Short, bitter finish with an average carbonation. Pretty ordinary, good IPA without being perfect or near the top of range.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
It’s hard to rate this beer because it’s just not an IPA. It has a very sweet aroma, thin lacing, the taste is fruity but has very little bitterness at all, absolutely no grassy hops taste to it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle into pint glass, bottled on 9/10/2014. Pours crystal clear golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, moderate bready malt, and restrained fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of herbal/piney/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, moderate bready malt, and restrained fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice English IPA style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, moderate bready malt, and restrained fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Malty aroma. Pours clear pale with decent head. Not bitter. Tastes like a lager. Really disappointing. Date on bottle: MAR 2016.

Re-tried this sucker the other day and I’ve forgotten that it tasted like this! Aroma of malty straw & grass soup. Some spice. Dry and bitter finish with some forest notes.

Honey sweet in the mouth hints of strawberry sweet plum in taste decent lasting ok if a little sweet needs a good dose of hops and less carbonation to make it really interesting

I open a bottle of this when it´s raining outside, and I´m back in Scotland,, despite not having visited it since the late 80´s!! Perfect for a windy, Norwegian autumn day, when all you want to do is snuggle up in a corner of the couch with the fiancée to get warmed up..
