Belhaven Brewery’s flagship American-style IPA. A bold but refreshing ale using pale malt to provide sweetness and a little Crystal malt for extra toffee and a touch of astringency. Challenger provides clean bitterness and an underlying herbal hoppyness. Hersbrucker adds a little fruit, spiciness and floral character and Cascade as the late hop adds masses of grapefruit citrus aroma and taste and floral fragrance. All three hops contribute to the bold bitterness and satisfying finish as well as the huge “hop store” aroma.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Cascade, Hersbrucker and Challenger hops.

Bottle. Pours amber clear with small head that is quickly minimized to small ring, head leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma consist of caramel, grass a little hints of fruits and pine (very delicate). Medium body and carbonation. Taste is malty, bit sweet with a medium bitter finish. I was surprised that it taste more like an english ipa though it was hopped ith cascade and chalanger. In summary it’s a medium ipa.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2016 33cl bottle. Clear golden with no head at all, quite awful pour. Aroma is sweet malts, some caramel, almost no fruity aromas from the hops as expected reading the label, some hint of marmalade. Thought about an old bottle but this one expires on aug 17. Taste is better with a not too bad bitter finish. Medium body, light carbonation.

Disappointing. Bold-bitter-juicy it is announced on the new label; however flat and watery it tasted. I expected an IPA but was left with a Pils.

Classical English IPA so I didn’t expected citrus aroma. Good but a little flat taste, nice appearance, high drinkability.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2016 W kolorze bursztyn, klarowne. Piana szybkoopadaj?ca. W smaku nieco wodniste, p?aski smak, cie?ko pijalne, nudne. O aromacie nie ma co pisa? bo praktycznie go nie ma. Podsumowuj?c pachnie i smakuje bardziej jak eurolager ni? jak IPA.

This beer has not arome at all, there is not aroma of Cascade and Challenger hops, the taste is like lager not a ale. Overall this is average lager, not an IPA.

Amber colour. Thin white head. Metallic, sweet, slightly fruity aroma. Slightly fruity, metallic, slightly bitter taste. Quite watery, even flat, not a good IPA.

Golden and medium-bodied. Citrus hop aroma. Moderately spicy hop flavour, with a sweet taste and moderate bitterness. Overall, it is too sweet for this type of IPA, but at least it has a decent spicy hop profile.
