A stunning India Pale Ale (IPA), don’t think that Belhaven’s Twisted Thistle has anything jaggy, spikey, prickly or otherwise pain-inflicting in its nature. Quite the opposite. Your taste buds will tingle with pleasure after a sip or two of this golden nectar. A real treat from our master brewers in Dunbar.
Ingredients: Pale malt, Cascade and Challenger hops.

Bottle. Pours amber clear with small head that is quickly minimized to small ring, head leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma consist of caramel, grass a little hints of fruits and pine (very delicate). Medium body and carbonation. Taste is malty, bit sweet with a medium bitter finish. I was surprised that it taste more like an english ipa though it was hopped ith cascade and chalanger. In summary it’s a medium ipa.

Lite bitterhet i eftersmaken. Lättdrucken!

Bottle 0.5L. Deep golden body with average, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (flowers, citrus) and light-to-moderate malty (light caramel) aroma. Moderate bitter flavour with light-to-moderate sweet character; some alcoholic harshness in the finish. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.

Good fruit flavor, a nice light taste. Density is small, the bitterness is low. Easy and quite ordinary English IPA.

Zapach mizerny - ledwo wyczuwalny chmiel i nieśmiało szepczące cytrusy! Nie tak powinno być. Smak poszedł niestety w zgodzie z aromatem i w efekcie piłem napój o bezpłciowym charakterze i niewielkiej goryczce!

Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Courtesy of and shared with JFK. Pours orange with white head. Light hoppy aroma. Sweet malty caramel with light floral hops in flavor. Light bitterness. Can’t say I’m thrilled.

Bottle from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet. Couldn't detect much hop aromatics. Smell is sweet with hints of honey and nutty notes. Fairly low bodied with medium Carbonation. Taste is sweet with caramel and toffee notes. Wasn't a fan of this. Perhaps this was a bad batch

Clear golden colour with poor white head. Malty aroma with some honey and bread notes and some hops in the far, far background. Malty taste with some herbal notes and very light bitterness.
