djtoucan (32), Tokyo, Japan Jul 12, 2008 First time I had this beer and it was on tap! Nice Scottish style’d IPA with a slightly creamy head but with that west cost IPA hoppy taste. Tasted better with more flavor when compared to Kilkenny. Kind of heavy and hard to drink more than 1 pint. Overall very good quality but sounds like the bottled version is better from what I read below?
zvikar (37), , Israel Nov 29, 2008 Nice amber color with thin head, delicate aroma of malt and vanilla with some pineapple mentioned by others, starts with hoppy flavors, continue with fine sweetness of chocolate, honey and malt, bitter finish, nice IPA. jfb (129), Freising, Germany Oct 22, 2008 (bottle) clear golden colour with a frothy white head. fruity aroma of peaches, pineapple, pale malts and lightly perfumed floral hops. flavour is the same, with more pale malts. light to medium body with medium carbonation and a light bitter finish. weaselkenievil (397), Cheshire, England Sep 21, 2008 Bottle. Dark gold colour with thin white head. Malty oat aroma not too much bitterness and a little hoppy in the back end. Thought it was certainly worth drinking again in my short supply of any decent beer shops in walking distance. I’m a lazy man.
KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 13, 2008 Clear golden with tiny white short lasting head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity notes. Sweet flavour with toasted malt, caramel and mild hoppy notes towards the end. tomer (199), Israel Sep 3, 2008 0.5L bottle, stable lacing head which lasted even after the beer was gone. clear dark gold colour with orange taints.
When poured, a melange of tropical fruit aroma bursts out of the glass, among them i detected pineapple and mango. After a few minutes, some grapefruit and herbs come forward. Strong emphatic bitterness with notes of citrus and a touch of malt in the back. Body is medium to full, but the aftertaste is suprisingly short.
