Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pastuerised.
A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland’s oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance:Very clear, burned golden to amber colour, head almost nonexistant, very weak carbonation.
Aroma:Some herbal notes, dry, like old wood, like thistle, refreshing.
Flavour:Some herbs, very aromatic nose, some hints of thistle or some other starnge herbs, rosy like aroma, some candies, very aromatic, bitter, blend of aromatic hops, very compaund and multidimentional in terms of hoppyness.
Palate:Dry, very syrupy, herbs, a lot of hoppyness, long finish and aftertaste.

Pours a clear golden amber with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet orange, earthy and grassy. Flavor is earthy, orange, salty(?) and sweet malt. Long fairly dry finish. Light-medium body, low carbonation.

The English IPA. There is a reason Americans do it better. The English may have made the trip to India, but today they lack excitement and taste. Fine, but no cigar.

Poured a golden amber color with a slight head that left a nice lacing. Mildly carbonated and hoppy on the tongue. A good mouth feel and no lingering bitter aftertaste. A well rounded IPA; I would definitiely buy this again.
