zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Feb 16, 2008 (draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Light copper color with an off white head. Aroma is very floral and hoppy with a light sweetness near the end. Rather earthy. Flavor is good and hoppy at the beginning with a floral and hoppy middle and a light citrus taste at the end. Rather light and the flavor disappears quickly. blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Feb 15, 2008 On tap at The Old Toad in Rochester. Poured orange with an off white head. Floral hop aroma, with some malt sweetness. Medium body. Flavor is again mostly hops, floral and a bit of lime like citrus. Pretty good. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Feb 13, 2008 A very floral aroma with a high malty presence and citrus hops. The tastes individually are very good but everything together doesn’t work to well nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 13, 2008 The aroma is yeast like with malt and floral hops. The appearance is light amber gold with a medium head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall I am not crazy about this but it’s not an American IPA. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Feb 2, 2008 Smooth, creamy, wonderful. This beer had it all. Poured a medium golden with a thick creamy white head. Nitro carbonation created the creaminess. Aroma of hops, carmel, and malt. Tastes was medium hop with very noticeable carmel after taste. Went down so smooth. Really delicious beer. Would definitely buy again. mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Feb 2, 2008 Pours a clear gold with a massive head with poor retention. Aroma is decidedly corny, fried sesame chicken. Taste is definitely corny, some good peppery hops, nice malting but the base malt is somewhat pilsener-esque - call me crazy. Slightly stale hops and a slightly artificial honey-malt sweetness drive the aftertaste. Body is thin but has good carbonation. Lacks character, too polished & macrolicious. Yawnmower beer. Thanks to robinvboyer for the trade! topherh (890), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jan 30, 2008 pint bottle pours a nice straw color with a thick dense white head. Aroma of mild hops and some sweet malt. Taste is mostly of malt and a slight hop bitterness at first, then the hoppiness really starts to show up in the finish. Nothing overwhelming but a nice balanced beer. One of the better classic IPAs I have had. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 30, 2008 Bottled. pours out in a clear pale brown colour with a small disappearing white foam. Caramel, iron, metal and mild citrousy fruits in the clean aroma. Clean caramely flavour with touches of iron, ash and citric fruit. Medium to light-bodied. Metal, caramel and orange-peels in the finish.
