Citrus hint in the finish - orange-lemon-lime. Strong but soft hoppy flavor - very full but comes on smooth & leaves just as smoothly. Softened by subtle hints of oak & caramel. One of the better IPA’s I’ve had... so far. ogglethorp (887), Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a decent sized off white head that lingers. Aroma is floral hops, citrus. Flavor is floral hops, malt, some crisp citrus notes. Palate is medium light, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Rather surprised, in a good way, with this one. hcalsos (15), Norway

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2007 04.01.07 500ml bottle. Hazy amber color with lasting off-white head and many suspended bits. Aroma is strikingly fresh and floral, completely unexpected, and not unlike some pale Belgians. Lovely, really, and my surprise is adding to the enjoyment. Mild flavors but nicely balanced mix of floral and citrus hops with smooth and crisp fruits (apple skin, young pear). Long and mellow earthy undertones to the finish and lightly tongue coating resins. Neat stuff. One of the nicest UK bottled beers I’ve had a crack at. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2006 Amber coloured beer with a large white head on top that almost immediatly disappeared. Hops on the nose, kind of flowery. Medium bodied sweet malt flavoured with punchy hops in the finish. BiochemProf (53), Boone, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2006 2 finger head atop a rich slightly murky amber pour. Sweet caramel, piney, floral aroma definatley a detour from the typical cascade IPA aroma. Smooth cask conditioned mouthfeel. Slight peat flavor (seems like all Scotish beers are required to have this) with a sweet caramel and toffee finish. Interesting and certainly atypical IPA. Nicely brewed beer.
