jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Mar 8, 2009 Updated: Sep 12, 2009(Bottle). Copper color with light cloudiness. Medium off white head which is mostly diminishing. Strong hop/citrus aroma and flavor, with light alcohol. Avg duration. Light bitter finish. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Fair lacing. Birdiebeagle (779), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 6, 2009 Bottle Pours a hazy golden with a big white head. The head seems to last a little. Has a nice hoppy citrus aroma with touches of pine, and sweet malts. Has a very crisp taste. Good carbination, good mothfeel . Has a nice bite to it and a good finish. This is a very tasty IPA. Has a medium body and is blended pretty good but produces a nice kick. I really enjoyed this one. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 2, 2009 Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm; 6.1% ABV Golden color; creamy head. Very nice hop aroma, creamy, with hints of fruits. Medium body, toffee flavor, the too high carbonation creates a dryish feeling, there is a touch of cereals; good hopping; the flavor is less interesting than the aroma but still good. The final is not complex enough. Good session beer. GMUcrew7 (353), Mason, Ohio, USA Feb 28, 2009 Pours somewhat cloudy copper color with a small light tan head. Nice floral hop aroma, with some malt and yeast. Slightly more pronounced flavor, good amount of floral/grassy hops, balanced out very well by the malt. Smooth body, not a standout APA, but nice to drink none the less. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Feb 21, 2009 The appearance could be good or bad depending on how much you like cloudy beer. This one is very cloudy. Pours pale amber with a modest half inch of cream color head. The head fades rather quickly and leaves a good amount of lacings. The aroma is mostly malts, some yeast, and floral hops. Taste is sweet maltiness with a firm earthy but balanced bitterness. The richness of the malts is way more than typical American IPA’s. I suspect this beer may be a bit old and as there is no obvious date I wish I could try it from a keg sometime. Carbonation was typical of British Ales(subdued). An interesting brew and I enjoyed drinking it all. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Feb 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light golden with a big creamy off-white head. Some suspended yeast or floaties. Laces well. Grassy and caramel aroma. Toasted caramel malt boddy with slight grassy hops. Medium bodied, highly carbonated. mcsquint (93), , Missouri, USA Feb 15, 2009 Imperial pint poured into dimpled mug.
Appearance - Golden in color. A bit cloudy. 2 finger white head that diminishes rather quickly; leaving nice lacing on glass.
Aroma - Predominantly grassy with some floral and citrus notes.
Flavor - Maltier up front than the aroma would indicate. This is followed by subtle floral, citrus, and grassy hops bite.
Palatez - Light to medium mouthfeel. Not as carbonated as I expected from the style. However, my only exposure to IPA’s has been American versions.
D - This tastes good but I probably wouldn’t buy it again. Nothing wrong with it, just not to my general taste.
Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Feb 11, 2009 On tap at Stone. Color is a hazy bright orange/amber. The fluffy white head settled to a thick lace and sticky glass. The aroma was the flowery hops smell, with some grapefruit. Taste is big and sweet. Bubble gum and creamy. Smooth and round. No bitterness in this one. Lacking any oomph.
