Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pastuerised.
A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland’s oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

On tap at Stone. Color is a hazy bright orange/amber. The fluffy white head settled to a thick lace and sticky glass. The aroma was the flowery hops smell, with some grapefruit. Taste is big and sweet. Bubble gum and creamy. Smooth and round. No bitterness in this one. Lacking any oomph.

Pours orange and cloudy with light nut hues throughout. Good carbonation. Head was large and white and lingers, leaving lace. Aroma is clean but not strong. Hop citrus and malt. Flavor starts crisp and tangy. Has a nice round fruit blast in the middle of the swallow. Oranges, grapefruit - juicy stuff. Has the hop presence of an IPA but is more balanced than what you would find in a state-side IPA. I like it.

Bottle. Pours a little orange color with a smaller head. Aroma is some citrus and piney hops. Weaker smell and taste. Decent beer, but not one of the better APA’s that I have had.

okay... an IPA- it’s right on the label... but below that is "thistle" and while i like a nice dry, hoppy, IPA, i’m not that interested in taking a deep swig of thorns. a pleasant surprise, it’s delicious. VERY hoppy. some reviewers claim they tasted fruits in this brew... well the batch i had didn’t come close to have any sort of fruity taste or aftertaste. dry. bitter. and lots of it. good stuff.

From tap at Svea, Malmö next to the EU version on bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a small white and dense head. Mild citrus to grapefruity hops aroma. Subdued caramel malty flavoured with a distinct grapefruit and slight peach flavoured base. Slowly building bitterness and fruity accents into the finish. Distinct more hoppy than the european version which has a more pronounced thistle herbal note.

Amber in color with a medium sized white head. Hops in the aroma. Medium, bitter body.

Pours a clear golden color with some orange hues with a thin white head, before mid-point, the head totally disapeared. Interesting aroma of floral, fruity hops, toasted malt and caramel. The flavor delivers a crisp toasted malt and caramel amid some mild floral hops, there’s very mild bitterness in the end. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and medium to lively carbonation. This is a very pleasant pint of english ale to sample in the comfort of your home.

From a 1L bottle purchased locally. Aroma is like lemony iced tea. Color is a golden amber that is clear except for what look s like hop particles floating around. Flavor is malty, biscuity with some hop bitterness and citrusy hop flavor in the finish. Full and rich but not too sweet, but still balanced a little toward the malt. Do not expect an American IPA out of this one. This is more along the lines of an English IPA that is more balanced and malt focused. A slightly bigger pale ale.
