Perhaps a bit of rootbeer but certainly not IPA, just clean and clear nose. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance. Barely any carbonation. Interesting taste, almost like a good saison with a bit of bitterness. Yes, some malt or hop bitter bite, but it lacks any of the ’in yer face’ attributes of the IPAs. Almost a friend in some ways. I even detect a little tartness with each sip. I just had a S/N Harvest that was much more offensive than this. Overall, not bad for an IPA but now I see RB classifies it as APA, no wonder,. Finish leaves you with a medium medicinal bitterness that hangs for just a little while. FROTHINGSLOSH (2046), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma is sweet grapefruity and flowery hops. The flavor is strong fruity hops with moderate floral hops following. The flavor is dryer than the aroma would suggest. There is a noticeable smoky character to the finish. Angeloregon (2038), Portland, Oregon, USA

Lots of nuttiness and grass bittering hops in nose, rounded out with a creamy sweet malt presence. Flavor is less bitter than nose. Mildly fruity, medium bodied and a little uneventful, though well-balanced and quite enjoyable. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2006 Bottled. Pours an almost clear copper with a lacy off-white head. Citrus, toffee, fruit and flowers in the nose. Medium body and carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet with the same elements as the aroma. Dry grapefruit rind finish, with a piney aftertaste. Middle-of-the-road bitterness for an IPA. Snojerk321 (2035), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Bottle from BevMo La Mesa. Pours a light copper color with a good sized head that left great lacing. Great piny and citrus hop aroma. Flavor was a bit too malty thus making the beer a bit unbalanced in my opinion. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
