A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland’s oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

Over all ok. This will sound funny to some but reminds me of a slightly sweet Little Kings.

Deep amber color, malty aroma, caramel taste with some bitterness at the end. Nothing special to remember.

Originally rated on 6/3/08. A dark golden amber apperance and a nice white head. Very little aroma but it was of grapefruit/ citrus, as for the flavor it didnt have as many hops as i expected, it tasted more like a pale ale than an india. Other than that, it is a quality brew definetley worth a try.

Pint at Nicholson’s. Aroma: Light to moderate lemon curd; slight grass; very light caramel biscuit. Appearance: Rich, gold pour with soft carbonation holding up a cap of white head. Flavor: Lemon curd up front with malts becoming more butterscotch-like and obtrusive; grass shows up more towards the finish, which is lightly bitter. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Thought the malts mucked things up ultimately; not bad, but needs some cleaning up.

Tap at an English pub with fish and chips. Light copper pour nose is Brady and floral. Tastes flora, of shortbread, light caramels, and hops. Smooth palate. Tasty enough

Draught from Nicholsons. Pours a clear light amber color with a smallish white head on there. Nose has some light citrus elements to it with a bit of grassiness coming off it. Taste is slightly bitter, yet finishes smooth and easy. All in all, pretty drinkable.

Clear golden, small offwhite head. Malty aroma, light notes of citrus. Flavour is malty with grapefruit and a herbal note. Some caramel perhaps and slightly rough, not entirely well balanced bitterness.

Copper beer with a medium foamy bright white head. Nose of lemongrass, mandarin orange, and grass. Flavor is a little strange with a bitter lemon tinge followed by a metallic bitterness. Some grassy flavors come through at the end. Kind of unusual, but nothing I’d search out.

This is a horrendously bad beer. It reminds me of gluten free beer with the acrid taste it leaves in your mouth. Bought a 6 pack... made everyone try it... poured it out

Bottle. Pours clear pale amber with medium white head. Aroma is mandarin, spruce, malt, dried rose leaves and lemon. Taste is medium sweet, medium to very bitter and light to medium acidic. Body is creamy with lively carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of orange, lemon, lime, spruce, malt, caramel, sugar and hints of milk.
