yumyum (40), barrie, Ontario, Canada Apr 11, 2008 goldent colour with moderate aroma. Dry bitter flavour. good beer, not great. harviestoun bitter and twisted better scottish ipa in my opinion. Stil a decent brew.
tedovertu (87), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Jul 26, 2008 Clear gold body with a small head with little to no lacing. Pine/Spruce hoppiness that is not too dry. Light body with an average duration and a light bitterness. Well balanced not as hoppy as most IPA beers. This was very refreshing surprise. trokini (818), San Diego, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Sharp, peppery hops that actually smell like a thistle. Astringent hop taste, reminiscent of an English IPA, with a decent amount of orange citrus flavors, and a sweeter, honey-malt finish. A pleasant surprise. zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 Taste 7/8. Looks: Nice gold with a thick topographical foam. Aroma: Nice, crip spicy hops. Sweetness in the malt. Taste: Neat. Not too soapy, or citrus. More even, orange, spicy, caramel in the malt. Full bodied. Smooth for this style. Quite good. I like this taste more than many APAs. Snojerk321 (907), San Diego, California, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle from BevMo La Mesa. Pours a light copper color with a good sized head that left great lacing. Great piny and citrus hop aroma. Flavor was a bit too malty thus making the beer a bit unbalanced in my opinion. verymerrymonk (187), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 11, 2008 Pours a clear orange body with a thin but enduring head. Not what I’d think of as an APA or an IPA, but pretty good. Maybe a bit more balanced and less pungent. Nice.
