Copper with a small white head. Bread, malt, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate. Great mouthfeel, almost creamy. Solid brew.

1pt+ bottle from Weavers Discount Liquors, Elkton, MD...dark brown ’cola’ colored pour, off-white head...sweet malty aroma with brown sugar and dark fruit...flavor included much of the same...I gave my pint glass a few second glances with this one...pleasantly surprised.

Pours a copper brown with a one finger frothy tan head. The nose is malty, bready, sweet, shows some alcohol, raisiny, peaty, a little earthy. The flavor is malty, has an alcoholic bite, sweet, earthy, lightly fruity, peaty. The palate is crisp and has some dry alcohol.

Clear medium orange-brown. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a light note of plum, hint of smoke. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, creamy and velvety texture, lively carbonation.

16.9oz in bordeaux glass. Wow! I’m not usually a huge fan of the Scotch Ale. Lovely amber with lightish carbonation. Sweet and sour malt, light roasty nose. Big pale malt flavor with a splash of sour and bitter. Finishes clean with enough carbonic bite to match the mellow warming. Seems like stateside Wees are going over the top (Old Chub?), and this is down to earth and drinkable.

16.9oz bottle-pours a light tan head and red color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel/brown sugar, dark fruit-cherry. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel/brown sugar, peat, dark fruit-cherry, balanced/secondary spicy/earthy hops with some bite which offsets the sweetness. Later more herbal comes through. Not quite my taste but nicely done.
