Draught @ Helsinki Beer Festival 2008. Dark brown, strong head. Aroma of stewed fruit. The taste is wonderful, with a juicy malt center and a lingering smoky caramel finish. Nice!

Probably one of my favorite beers, though its a bit strong for a session beer I could drink this all day and never tire of it. 16oz bottle poured into a guiness glass. Medium size off white head and a burnished brown color. Smells of caramel and chocolate with a light floral hop note and some smoke. Taste is very big. This a big rich beer with a huge malt presence and really tasty notes of chocolate, coffee and caramel. There is a very very light hop bitterness on the backend but its very small even smaller than in their scottish ale and then a bready back end with a long long caramel finish. Awesome!

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and amber with a dense off-white head. Light yeasty and caramel malt, yet vague aroma. Flavour is sweet. Breadish and light roasted malt. Mild yeast note. fruity towards light wineous. Ends with a fruity flavour and a mild malt note.

Bottle Tampa Scotch Ale Blind Tasting. Pours amber with a light tan head. Aroma is earthy, slightly fruity, sweet caramel, and light alcohol. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good.

On tap at the Castle on King, in Kitchener. Nice dark brown with a solid head. Oh-so-malty, and wonderfully sweet. Bitterness is not to be found. A superb beer. Dessert.
