500mL bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Sweet, caramelly, lightly nutty aroma with some herbal, floral hops present. Rather aromatic and not too shabby. Attractive copper-amber transparent body with a nice, large, frothy yellow-tan head and nice lacing. Sweet, malty, chewy, a bit roasted and a bit nutty towards the middle. Has a little metallic flavor later with a little herbal bitter hop flavor.Pretty flavorful, and not bad, but this just seems to be lacking body.

Botella. Comprada en supermercado. Muy buena. Gran sorpresa, ya que la tome despues de la McCallum stout, que no fue muy buena. Buen aroma, buen sabor. Para repetir.

16.9 oz bottle-A dark reddish brown with a nice tight tan head which gives off an aroma of caramel, malts, and sweetness. Taste is the same with all the flavors being very well mixed and nothing really standing out. A decent tasting and drinking beer but it really does nothing for me. I was expecting more.

A beautiful ruby color with a foamy tan head. An interesting scent that remins me of the "Hot Toddy Mix" I used to sneak bites of as a child. Earthy, floral & honey notes. Sweet, with plenty of malt, pear, peat, treacle and mild smoke. Quite tasty! A very nice Scottish Ale.

Bottle (from NZ supermarket), poured a clear and deep brown with a bubbly off-white head. A toasted malt aroma with some toffee and tobacco. The palate is a little lively, maybe because of the trip here. The malty flavour is a bit sweet and sour with a sticky astringency in the finish. Maybe the trip did it no good.

500ml bottle from BevMo Carmel Mountain. Great job Belhaven!! Brew pours a deep brown with a reddish tint. Head was tan and very thin. Nose was sweet, consisting mostly of caramel, honey, perhaps some candied fruits as well. Great on the pallet, very smooth and drinkable.

Beuatiful red-brownish beer with medium blond head. Aroma is sweet and malty and there is also slightly roasted malt and dry fruits. Flavour is balanced and not too sweet. There is sweetness, dry friuts and roast malts. Very smooth to drink. Do not drink too cold or you lose lots of aromas and flavours.
