Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, some caramel as well. Sweet mouth feel, sweet finish, no hops to be found. Not bad. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Dark, dark red. Huge malty nose and flavor. Not a hop flavor or bitterness to be had. Hints of caramel, raisin, plum. Not my personal favorite style but I’d got to respect it. Bradrcr (779), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2007 From bottle at Red House in Renton, Wa. Didn’t do a full judging on this one, but was impressed with the complexity. Lighter than many scottish ales you might commercially find, both in color and body, but full of flavor, in particular a very wide variety of sweet notes, dominated by caramel, fruit esters, and some citrus hop flavor. Hoard to drink too quickly; a beer I’d like to age to get some of the flavors to congeal a bit more, but terribly interesting. faroeviking (6023), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 1, 2007 Bottle. Red brown colour with an average lasting white head. Fruity aroma of hops and sweet toasted malts. Bit sweet flavour, roastness of malts, fruits (raisins) and good bitterness in the end. Average dry bitter aftertaste. Great brew! slang (397), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 31, 2007 Bottled. Pours looking a sexy translucent ruby, nice head. Malty, sweet caramel w/ subtle low key nuances. An awesome beer, I will comeback for more. FastEddie (182), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2007 Has a nice, ample brownish head which diminishes fast. The aroma is definitely that of a scottish ale, with a nice sweet maltiness to it. The flavor is also dominated by the malt, as one would expect. davidpl (435), Santiago, Chile
