Bright, clear-ish chestnut. Fine finger of beige foam. Sweet (caramel), toasty, nutty, & mildly smokey aroma w/ light spicy, earthy notes. Full, oily feel. Sweet, toasty, malty flavour of caramel, molasses, brown sugar & nuts.

Beautiful deep, copper red with a substantial, rocky, off-white head. The aroma is full of malt and lends itself to strong, overripe fruit. Raisin, plum, fig, caramel, toffee, chocolate, buttery nuts, slightly sour elements and a hint of hoppy goodness. The body is typical for th style, which means I would like a little more thickness and a fuller body, yet I try not to take away for my preferences. The flavors really show the dominance of the malt through out this beer. Strong, overripe fruits really dominate, though there is some caramel, chocolate and toffee coming through. Good, but not great, as a far as Wee Heavy’s go.

500ml bottle. aroma is sweet malt, and caramel. Flavour is again, big on the malt, and caramel, with slight apple notes, and sweet figs. Finish is quite malty, with a good hop kick. Really nice beer.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a nut brown beer with a nice creamy tanned haed. The nose is of syrup, caramel, cherries, (definately quite a lot of cherries to my surprise). The taste is very sweet, smooth with some cherries again, offering a strong malty background. Caramel, syrup and marshmallows in the taste. Peaty in a very mediocre way. The finish is dry buttery.

500 ml bottle. Dark brown with a red hue and an average-sized cream white head that clings to the glass. Crisp nutty and marzipan-like sweet aroma. Caramel malts and roasted malts. Distinct bitter and sweet flavour. Quite sharp bitterness balances the roasted toffee and coffee-like burnt malt flavour. More mellow mouthfeel and a long grassy bitter finish. Malt candy flavour. Quite nice actually.

Dark ruby/brown. Nice, thick, off-white head. Malt and smoky scotch aroma. I love scotch, haven’t had too many scotch ales, this will be the first I’ve drank with the intention of rating. Sweet malt and smoky scotch all the way. Full, smooth body with a nice level of carbonation. Very good.
