Poured dark brown with a thick tan head and plenty of lacing. Aroma was nutty and caramel. Taste was nuts and brown sugar with a nice toasted flavor. This is very good.

It poured a hazy dark maroon color (see photo) with a light tan head. The aroma was sweet, syrupy amber malts. The flavor was a sweet amber malty flavor.

Pours a cream, three-finger head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Crystal clear mahogany color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose and flavor is a bready caramel. Clean finish. ABV is on the low side but this is a good SA. $4.99 for a clear 500ml bottle from Market Basket Concord, NH.

Belhaven’s strong beer looks much kike their Scottish ale, only a darker shade of copper and extra lacy foam. Smells of caramel and toffee with notes of peat and wood smoke. Very sweet tasting with just the right hint of bitterness. Thick and cloying but easy drinking and refreshing. Good desert beer.

Had on nitro Arrived a clear dark red with a one finger creamy head typical of a nitro beer. Smell was full of caramel and toffee. The taste was much like the smell. Loads of caramel and toffee with some bready malt detectable. There is also a slight alcohol note. Overall this beer was decent but not one of my favorites. Just a bit too sweet.
