Belhaven Wee Heavy has a rich deep flavor. A beer to be sipped, savoured and fully respected.

Dark amber colour with some red highlights and a frothy white head. Smells of apples and smoke dominate the aroma which is a pretty unique smell! Very carbonated taste, and a very strong smokey flavour. This has more of a smokey finish than some of the 'smoked' STYLED beers that i've had! Since no one listed these flavours in their review, maybe I had an off bottle? Either way, what I drank was pretty unique, especially for this style. I'll probably try again later! I bought this in a 50 cL bottle from Southtown Beverage in Rochester, New York.

Copper/ Dark Ruby coloring. This beer is sweet, candy-like, smooth, and very silky. Medium body.

Amber brown, not much head. Toffee and tobacco in the aroma. A lot of flavours; toffee, chocolate... But even so quiet fresh. Maybe too complex?

Nice ale. Pours up amber brown with moderate head. Head is retained and there is moderate lacing throughout the experience. Aroma is lighly malty. Flavor is quite nice with a deep rich malt with maybe just a touch of roast. Light taste of honey. Finish is lightly bitter and fairly quick.

Color is dark ruby red with a slight brown tone to it, some frothy head appeared but faded very fast. Smells of caramel and toffee, slightly sweet, very candy-like. It reminded me of a lightly flavored soy sauce. Very intreging aroma. The taste is the best part, its super silky smooth with a nice toffee tint and caramel malt backing with just the right amount of hop hinted in the dry finish. The only thing that through me about this wee heavy was that isn't very heavy at all. It's bold, medium bodied, and has a silky smooth, light creamy feel.

Brown color with a thin head. Clear malty aroma with hints of tobacco. Flavor with some notes of tobacco and a mild taste of chocolate. Full flavor. Reminder of Charles Wells Bombardier Bitter.

Hearty malty aroma, dark, not much head retention but nice lacing. Sweet caramel, dark chocolate/coffee flavors. Hops restrained. Finish slightly bitter and toasty.

very nice malty scotch. dark brown with a thin head, big smoky malt nose. the malts dominate tgis beer but there is a god hop presence too. very smooth for a "big" beer.

Rich malty aroma with hints of caramel, toffee, molasses, and underlying dried fruits. Clear red-brown color with good head retention. The flavor is a blend of malts - caramel, toffee, graininess, and a slight smokiness. These flavors are wonderfully balanced and compliment each other perfectly, with the overall balance on the sweet side. The mouthfeel is medium-full, just right for a Scotch Ale. Definitely an exellent example of the style.
