Belhaven Wee Heavy has a rich deep flavor. A beer to be sipped, savoured and fully respected.

Large beige head. Dark red-brown. Nice malt and hop character off-set by a little sharpness.

Very enjoyable scottish ale. Caramel dominates the aroma . The flavor is a nice hop, malt and sugar balance with a smokey linger.

Dark amber coloured beer with a medium light brown head. Molasses, smoke and allspice aroma. The taste is almost pure molasses with a smoky light bitter aftertaste. An interesting beer but not anything I would drink a lot off.

Pours a clear dark copper with a big lacing off-white head. Thick, sweet, lightly caramelized somewhat acidic aroma with a hint of peat malt. Body is thick, sweet and complex, with a lasting smoked malt finish. Enjoyable throughout, a great Scottish ale.

Hopheads have plenty of brews to choose from, this one is far malt lovers. What a Scottish Ale should taste like and it's actually from Scotland.

Murky, cloudy brown body. Strong toffee/caramel aroma. Sweet, flavorful malt. Notes of toffee, strong caramel finish. Well balanced, long flavorful finish. Fairly one-dimensional malt but overall one of the better Scottish Ales I've tried.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2008 Pours brilliantly clear, dark mahogany brown, with a good sized dense tan head of very fine bead. Leaves a nice lace most of the way down the glass. Aroma is malty, with dark fruits (figs, dates) and apples. Flavor is big, juicy malt upfront, with roasty and toasty notes. No diacetyl. Tail is sweet but mildly so. Body is very creamy and smooth. A wonderful Wee Heavy, and a true classic of the style.

DArk in color with a thick foamy head that dissapers quickly, but still clings to the side of the glass.Medium bodied with lots of malt and not ot bitter.Had a clean finish with a nice warm feeling going down.

Clear ruby/brown. Decent head and lace. Nose of caramel, peat, toffee, burnt sugar and more. Medium bodied, bit syrupy, heavy smoke/peat, which provides slight sourness, dark, toffeish malts, not too sweet, nice slight bitterness and a almost dry, lingering with peat finish. Good brew.

Ruby-copper hue. Beige head. Smokey, cherry, wood nose. Light fruit, grainy, slight oil, faint nuttiness, rich and creamy, peaty, earthy, faint smoke, smooth, soft palate presence, finishing wit a far off smoke and a hint off hops. Drinkable and warming.
