Ezek a mélyvörös skót ale-ek. Le lehet tőlük részegedni, az biztos :) Gitáros lévén nem vetem meg a jó sört, ennél ittam már finomabbat, de jól csúszott minden szám közti szünetben...

Aroma is caramel dominant with some earth and sweet malt tones. Upon first Pour there was a lot of stunk type aromas at dissipated. Appearance is brown deep ruby highlights with a good amount of tan off white head that quickly dissipates. Flavor is Carmel dominant with hints of skunk and earth. It has malty and nutty with slightly sweet flavors and some alcohol showing through. Medium mouth feel with moderate carbonation and some alcoholic lending to a slightly dry finish. Overall the clear bottle and shelf storage is lent to some skunk flavors. The beer is dominated by a silky smooth caramel flavor and aroma with alcohol and sweetness.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2014 Edit: This is a rating for the 7,4% version. Somehow it was decided that the 6.5% and 7,4% versions are exactly the same beer and ratings got merged. I don’t agree with that. Small bottle. Dark copper body, medium head. Jammy aroma with liquid caramel and a hint of booze around the corner. Sweet jammy/caramelly taste with some berries. No peat/smoke that was present in the 6,5% version. Low hoppiness. Sugary finish. Sticky and cloying without the booze warmth that would offer some balance. Very unbalanced.
Earlier Rating: 9/10/2013 Total Score: 3.2
Bottle. Deep dark red/mahogany body with a small head. Earthy aroma with some berries and smoke. Thick malty mouthfeel. Taste has peat and autumn leaves (not the song). Finish has smoke dryness. Probably nice with certain kind of foods but too chewy to drink it by itself.

500 ml bottle into snifter, bottled on 4/25/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear deep reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big caramel, toast, toffee, raisin, plum, brown bread, brown sugar, herbal, light smoke, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and fruity/earthy yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of big caramel, toast, toffee, raisin, plum, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, herbal, light smoke, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, raisin, plum, herbal, light smoke, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and fruity/earthy yeast ester flavors; with great robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Low-medium carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and lightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome scotch ale. All around great complexity and balance of dark/bready malt and fruity/earthy yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.
