500 cc bottle, chilled. Clear dark brown and copper color with off white head and lacing. Mild malty aroma. Taste is mildly sweet, more so in the finish. Taste of malts, some caramel & nuts, but no bitterness or bite. Very drinkable, excellent alone or with most pub food. Went well with roasted pork. Excellent Scottish ale.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear dark ruby brown color with medium frothy tan-like head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, toffee and herbs. Taste starts with moderate sweet and rich toasted malt, follows by fruity acidity with scotch and earthy notes, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and average spartkling appearance. Wee, that’s awesome...

A very slight coffee aroma with a rich deep dark color that is to be expected from a wee heavy. Starts dry and has a slightly bitter, coffee finish. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10
