500 cc bottle, chilled. Clear dark brown and copper color with off white head and lacing. Mild malty aroma. Taste is mildly sweet, more so in the finish. Taste of malts, some caramel & nuts, but no bitterness or bite. Very drinkable, excellent alone or with most pub food. Went well with roasted pork. Excellent Scottish ale.

Aroma: sweet notes, caramel malts, bread, light iron. Appearance: dark clear amber, medium beige frothy head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: caramel malts, molasses, bread and cereal malts, light carbonation, remaining sweet throughout, average-long finish. Overall: great Scotch Ale, fantastic palate. Bottle from Wittich Weine, Olten.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear dark ruby brown color with medium frothy tan-like head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, toffee and herbs. Taste starts with moderate sweet and rich toasted malt, follows by fruity acidity with scotch and earthy notes, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and average spartkling appearance. Wee, that’s awesome...

Bottle 500ml. Pours dark dark amber, clear, large frothy head. Aroma: Malt, caramel, spices, raisins and plums. Taste: roasted malts, butterscotch, caramel, dark fruits, hint of coffee. Oily texture, soft to average carbonation. Excellent beer.

From 25oz bottle ton shaker. Pour is a deep dark copper with a thin head. Nose is malt, caramel, light hop, earthy. Taste is light bitter, light body. Finishes clean.

Bottle. Dark amber, medium white head. Caramelly aroma with dired fruits. In taste malty sweet, caramel and some fruits, not intensive. There is also a little alcohol present. Medium bodied, low bitterness.

Aroma: butterscotch, diacetyl, caramel.
Appearance: clear claret color, nice white head.
Taste: low bitterness, quite nice malty backbone, sweet, caramel, butterscotch.
Palate: low body and low carbonation, sweet finish.
Overall: Not bad, but aroma is awful.

A very slight coffee aroma with a rich deep dark color that is to be expected from a wee heavy. Starts dry and has a slightly bitter, coffee finish.
