Bottle at Eulogy. Clear very dark copper brown pour. Thin off-white ring that quickly disappeared. Nice clean dark malty peat flavor. Slim aroma (when cold at least). Medium-bodied wee heavy. Blackberry. Celery hearts. Sherry. Plum pudding. Black cherry cordials. Bit too sweet. Not as rich or complex as better wee heavies but still worthwhile.

Clear brown, light beige head. Aroma has malt and caramel. Sweet flavour. More caramel, hints of dried fruit and ok warming alcohol. Almost too sweet.

L: pours a dark mahogany with ruby red highlights. A small beige head, some lacing. S: deep rich malt, slightly boozy, dark fruits coming through - plum, dates, fig. T: follows the nose but better. A rich malt flavour and deep fruit warmth. F: a sipper, nice full body, light prickly carbonation from front to back. O: great for the colder months. Cheap and in my local supermarket. A winner.

Pours dark, reddish brown, bit of beige head, not much of it though. Clear and looks sturdy. Aroma has some caramel, sweet malts and something metallic. Tastes sweet, even cloying, loads of caramel an I am getting some smoke as well. Total winter beer, filling me up and warming at the same time. I imagine this beer would taste nice after a long hike through Scottish highlands. Finishes bitter and pretty short. Overall, a bit too sweet and cloying for my taste but good at what it does.

Picked up this Belhaven Wee Heavy 90 Scottish Ale 7.4% at Seiyu for just 245¥ and got to use my thistle glass. It pours a dark mahogany brown with a thick pillowy beige head. The aroma is richly malt forward featuring dried fruits: plums, figs, raisins as well as bready caramel buns. Full bodied with a prickly carbonation this is a substantial beer that typifies the phrase liquid lunch. The taste is sweet malts without being cloying. The same flavors you got in the nose dance along your tastebuds. If you want a beer that showcases malts beautifully for cheap this is fantastic value.

330ml bottle from alko. Pours dark brown without head. Aroma is toffee and caramel. You can taste the alcohol a little bit. Average to soft carbonation, really nice. Oily or creamy texture. Taste is heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter.

It pours dark brown with ruby highlights. It has a tan head that has tightly packed bubbles of carbonation. It has malty aromas highlighted by caramel, earthly elements, and some fruit. It has flavors of smoke, caramel, fruit, with some alcohol strength noticeable. It is a tad stronger in the feel than medium bodied with sweetness from fruit, warming from alcohol and moderate carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a dark caramel brown with a thin fizz head. Grain forward aroma. Flavor is malty, metallic, and an odd fruit finish. Has a lingering sweetness to it. Cream body. Not bad, but less of my thing.

Særdeles spændernde øl. Købt som Belhaven 90. God smag, tilpas med sødme. Flot farve.
