It pours hazy ruby with violet tinges; the head is cream and mousse like. The aroma of notes of: raisins, toffee, oak, and charcoal. The taste is medium sweet that finishes medium bitter and astringent. The palate is medium bodied with medium carbonation, and has a long finish. Overall, it seems like it would be more potent - a little bit of a let down.

Eff yes, Indians up 2-0 in the ALCS. Had lots of beer over the last two days... here’s another. $2.99 Bottle from Market Street Wine Shop, Downtown. Pours reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and seltzer water, hints of brown sugar or something similar in the end. Oh flavor is nice: fruitcake: dark fruits, spices, caramel, brown sugar... quite tasty, if you like this sort of thing.

Bottle - Pours deep amber/brown, thick white fluffy head, good lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and licorice. Caramel, rich dark roasted grains, brown sugar. Malty, but a good hops presence that completes this ale.

Bottle from Alko. Pours dark amber with white one-finger head. Sweet dried fruits and complex sweet maltiness in the nose. Taste is sweet. Bitterness is very moderate. Body is complex maltiness and despite the sweetness, I’d call it balanced. Moderate carbonation. Sweetness and full body is well supported by the strong alc.%.

Bottle, 330ml, shared with JFK10000. Pours clear dark amber with beige head. Roasted malts, bit bready, caramel, some dried fruit. Not bad, but unfortunately too sweet for me.
