Commercial Description:
Pasteurised bottle, export only.
Belhaven Wee Heavy has a rich deep flavor that derives from the greater proportion of malted barley to hops wich characterised Scottish ales of the 19th century. A beer to be sipped, savoured and fully respected.

A dark red beer with a good head. The aroma is fruity and a bit sour. It is very sweet for a Brittish ale. The flavor is typically ale fruity with some unrecognizable spices and hints of the alcohol content and in ends in a slight bitterness. A very nice ale.

Bottled. Mahogany coloured with beige head. Rich, smokey aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet and very malty with flavours of licorice and peat. Soft mouthfeel. Notes of crystalized sugar in a finish with medium bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, dark reddish brown with a small, creamy head. Very malty and full-bodied with distinct nutty notes and a roasted/burned edge. Lovely quaffable winter warmer. 080303

Smokey, with some good dark malt character, but a little lacking in body.
