Deep red with a minimal head. Aroma of sour red berries and malt. The flavor is fruity in an ale way, also has notes of herbs and grassy hobs.

500 ml bottle. Deep reddish amber colour, thin but persistent off-white head. Sweet caramel-malty aroma with fruits and vanilla. The flavour is lightly toasted, caramel-malty, with spicy, mildly hoppy finish. Medium-bodied, smoothly carbonated and slightly buttery.

Pours very dark amber-red with a tall chunky beige head, good retention foamy and firm lacing. Aroma is caramel, toasted grain, sweet white bread, nice floral malts. Flavor is grainy malt, lots of caremel, toffee, and leafy notes then floral hops and a little spice. Body is medium and sticky, astringent toward the finish.

Bottle: Poured a reddish to chocolate color brown very hazy, with a off white head not quite beige. Aroma is sweet caramel or toffee malts. Taste is a sweet caramel along with just the fine metallic hint to off-set the sweetness. Finish is dry with a slight burnt notes.

Sweet aroma with hints of peat smokiness and (power of suggestion?) heather. Very malty rich flavor, leaning towards toffee. Nice.

500 mL bottle. Pours a deep red with a small beige head. Aroma is of caramel malt, molasses, red licorice, and toffee. Taste is brown sugar, caramel, with some sawdust in there. Velvety, smooth mouthfeel. Sort of unpleasant, dry, saw-dust aftertaste. Drinkable and enjoyable. But weak sauce for a wee heavy.
