1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
284ml bottles and on draft a couple of times in Belize. Very clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma is of weak hops and grass. Taste....well there isn’t much there unsurprisingly. Just very watery with weak grassy Malta. As others have said, good enough on the beach but not one to have at home!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Canadian pilsner malt represent. Had many a bottle of this before I realized that Barrel rum was a definite superior choice on Caye Caulker. Nonetheless Central America had many worse, and Belikan was good enough at Lounge Lizard bar by the rift. Thanks for reminding me of this beer, Travlr.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle courtesy of Melissa and friends, thank you all! Slightly hazy yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of malty straw, subtle white pepper. Taste is plain straw, slight bitterness at the finish. Inoffensive.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
My sister brought me back the National Beer of Belize from a cruise she went on. Bottle poured into a glass. Brilliantly clear straw colored beer with very quickly dissipating white foam. Semi-active carbonation with bubbles rising from bottom to top. Aroma is Pilsner malt and corn sweetness, small yeast phenols. Flavor is refreshing, crisp, hint of sweet. It’s probably because I’m still cooling down from a workout, but this beer is extremely refreshing. Would drink oodles of this in the summer in the sun if it was available (and nothing better was around) and I would be very happy.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a small, short lived off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt and straw. Flavour is sweet with malt and grassy notes leading to a dry bitter finish. Light body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Not good, but this is about your only choice in Belize.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Better than expected, but then again I had just climbed 1500 year old pyramids and was in a good mood. Better than Miller and Bud by a mile, if that gets you going. It is actually drinkable and is your only choice most places in Belize, so don’t worry about it!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A tame lager from mesoamerica. Tries to be a European lager, but it will always be an outsider in that community. The hops were subdued, as was everything else. Might have it again.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Was able to taste this on 11/26 in Belize City. It had a weak aroma with a mixture of various hops. The taste was weak with a mixture of various hops that was a bit harsh on the palate.
