Belikin Beer is brewed in the classic continental European lager style. Belikin uses Canadian Pilsner malt in combination with a blend of German hops to create the perfect malt-hop balance for our flagship. Since December 13, 1971 the original recipe has called for a lengthy fermentation and lagering to allow the yeast to create its full conditioning. This full-bodied beer with a medium golden colour is delightful any time of the day.

a pretty lame lager. Mostly malt no hop flavour. Wasent the worst beer I’ve had but definatly not one I would want again. Unless I’m in Belize and its all they are serving.

Only knocked back one of these after discovering the stout and premium. Light colored pour with a white head. A typical bland and uninspiring lager. My girl thought thought they were good for the beach, I didn’t share her optimism....

Nothing offensive and very drinkable after a long day in the jungle or at the beach. Mostly malt, no hop.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 Having quite a few of these during a holiday vacation. Not much to say about it - looks like a lager, smells like a lager, tastes like a lager. Lacks the sweetness that makes a lot of pale lagers undrinkable though. I’d put it on par with Yeungling - inoffensive and drinkable, but nothing to write home about.

Ok. This is an unfair rating as I got this beer after it was already a year old. Its impossible at this point to tell what off flavors come from the beer and which come from its aging. Nice thick head didn’t disappear, still has a light straw body. Aroma of skunky, stinky wet grass. Taste to match. Thanks to Rebecca for picking this thing up in Belize, though.

Drank from the bottle during the honeymoon, aroams of light stale hops, light cereal, and some light earth. Flavors are the same as aromas with some water added. Decent pale ale, nice on the hot beach.

Pours clear gold (though slightly orange) with a short , soapy white head. Scent is faint...water and grain. Taste is mainly corn malt...fairly neutral. Nothing bad about it....just the basic, dull , pale lager-ness you expect to get.

284 mL. (Mentions a stout on the back of the bottle, which I’d like to try). On the orange side, with a ring of white head. Not in a green bottle, so it is lacking that Central American skunk. What a shame. Mild aroma doesn’t suggest any questionable ingredients. So far so good. Flavour is a little sweet, but not unpleasant. Not a bad little beer, really.

Drank this in Belize when there was no Belikin stout. Plain and dull lager. Carbonated with a slight taste. Nothing special.
