Belikin Beer is brewed in the classic continental European lager style. Belikin uses Canadian Pilsner malt in combination with a blend of German hops to create the perfect malt-hop balance for our flagship. Since December 13, 1971 the original recipe has called for a lengthy fermentation and lagering to allow the yeast to create its full conditioning. This full-bodied beer with a medium golden colour is delightful any time of the day.

bottle share at Hunahpuís. Thanks random guy. very sweet and caramelized, like natural sugar cane or something. Flavorful, not too bad.

Drank this in Belize when there was no Belikin stout. Plain and dull lager. Carbonated with a slight taste. Nothing special.

Bottle personally delivered from Belize by Mervs - thanks! Pours golden in colour, big frothy white head. Corn bomb. Period. Nice to try something rare.

284 mL. (Mentions a stout on the back of the bottle, which Iíd like to try). On the orange side, with a ring of white head. Not in a green bottle, so it is lacking that Central American skunk. What a shame. Mild aroma doesnít suggest any questionable ingredients. So far so good. Flavour is a little sweet, but not unpleasant. Not a bad little beer, really.

Pours clear gold (though slightly orange) with a short , soapy white head. Scent is faint...water and grain. Taste is mainly corn malt...fairly neutral. Nothing bad about it....just the basic, dull , pale lager-ness you expect to get.

Ok. This is an unfair rating as I got this beer after it was already a year old. Its impossible at this point to tell what off flavors come from the beer and which come from its aging. Nice thick head didnít disappear, still has a light straw body. Aroma of skunky, stinky wet grass. Taste to match. Thanks to Rebecca for picking this thing up in Belize, though.

Drank from the bottle during the honeymoon, aroams of light stale hops, light cereal, and some light earth. Flavors are the same as aromas with some water added. Decent pale ale, nice on the hot beach.

Loose bottle at Binnyís, silkscreened label, dated "22AUG10" Uh-oh. Well, those are the breaks when you want to tick off another 0.4% from the list of contries, or 3 pixels from the map if it returns. At least I bought this along with a 11.11.11 Vertical Epic. So. DMS smell when poured in my glass. Slightly hazy beer, at least the color is a slightly substantial yellow. Just a little residue in the bottom of the bottle. Taste has corn sweetness, and may be just a bit "hot." There is an underlying tone of bitterness that you sometimes donít get with a cheap lager, so itís noted here. A little bit estery, maybe due to age or however itís fermented. Iíd drink this if I was in Belize. I also note that the bottle I have more resembles the Belkin Premium bottle in the web site now, but the neck has the word "Beer" instead of "Premium" or "Supreme."

From many bottles and probably a few taps while on vacation in Belize to get married. Tasting notes are at best foggy, but I do recall liking this beer very much, probably due to the influence of the sun and sand and the local citizens.
