Kinda weird to rate this as part of Philly Beer Week, but it was one of the featured beers @ 3 Monkeys in NE Philly. Nothing going on here, just a weak pale lager. Next time I have one it will be in Belize.

From many bottles and probably a few taps while on vacation in Belize to get married. Tasting notes are at best foggy, but I do recall liking this beer very much, probably due to the influence of the sun and sand and the local citizens.

Loose bottle at Binny’s, silkscreened label, dated "22AUG10" Uh-oh. Well, those are the breaks when you want to tick off another 0.4% from the list of contries, or 3 pixels from the map if it returns. At least I bought this along with a 11.11.11 Vertical Epic. So. DMS smell when poured in my glass. Slightly hazy beer, at least the color is a slightly substantial yellow. Just a little residue in the bottom of the bottle. Taste has corn sweetness, and may be just a bit "hot." There is an underlying tone of bitterness that you sometimes don’t get with a cheap lager, so it’s noted here. A little bit estery, maybe due to age or however it’s fermented. I’d drink this if I was in Belize. I also note that the bottle I have more resembles the Belkin Premium bottle in the web site now, but the neck has the word "Beer" instead of "Premium" or "Supreme."

Light yellow. Pours with a large white head. Very malty nose and a little bitter. Full thick body and malty palate coating consistenty. Pretty balanced... just heavy for a light beer.

284mL bottle, thanks to my longtime friend Christy. Clear yellow pour, thin white head. Aroma of sour water and straw. Tastes of some metal and a standard Pale Lager. I bet it tastes better down there!
