coldbrewky (525), Saugerties, New York, USA Dec 9, 2006 Followed a lighthouse lager truck from Belize City all the way to Guatemala. After much thought on the matter I believe that the small bottles quench your thirst more completly in the focking hot jungle that is Belize. A 12 oz bottle would be warm by the finish and probably getr more skunky. Worth a try by intrepid explorers. TBone (5172), Pori, Finland Feb 29, 2004 Bottle bought from Belize
Golden color, white head. Aroma is hops and coffee (not strong). Taste is hoppy but too watery. In the aftertaste softly coffee and hops. phishpond417 (1521), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 21, 2008 Pours a clear straw yellow colour with a small to medim sized white head. Aroma is faint of pears, grain and fresh flowers. Taste is off dry, hint of lemon with a soft hop finish. MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 29, 2005 The Lure:
Skunks have marked their territory around the lemon tree plantation. The haystacks nearby colour the aroma, and a close-to-headless appearance has no idea how to attract.
The Festivities:
Fair and somewhat fizzy carbonation help to push the quenching hay forward. Grassy hop flavors and their bitterness are actually found through the watery grain. I think this is better than the average tropical lager.
Transcendence:
A straw sunbrella and crashing waves are necessary to really enjoy this. jtw (919), farmington, Michigan, USA Jan 22, 2006 belizean corona, brought back to michigan from belize. small bottle, maybe 8-9 oz? not bad, not good, not much of anything really. some skunky malt and hops, very dry. drink the rum while you’re in the caribbean, skip the Lighthouse Lager.
