2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 mansquito (2569) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 30, 2006
Comes in a bigger bottle than the other Belikins, but like many Premium beers out there, I preferred the normal to it. It had this weird taste that was hard to put your finger on and left this sort of strange taste in the mouth. Malty, not too bitter, drinkable, but I would choose most other beers over this.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jtw (1040) - farmington, Michigan, USA - JAN 29, 2006
12 oz bottle brought back from belize. a bit darker than a typical pale lager, which (hopefully) bodes well for the rest of it. it’s medium-everything - foam, malt, hops, and finish. certainly nothing wrong with this beer, and it would be perfectly refreshing given the right circumstances (such as a cruise in the caribbean!)
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ironmike (2) - Lynn Haven, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2005 does not count
floral nose, definitely noble hops, caramel malty, medium amber color, very clear, frothy, white foam but minimal lacing and head retention, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, average carbonation, long finish, very drinkable beer appropriate to such a hot climate as Belize. But hard to find outside of Belize. I bought a six-pack in Belize City while on a cruise and brought back home. This is one I’d like to clone for a summer lawnmower beer.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 LyndaB (4) - Georgia, USA - JUL 7, 2005 does not count
This was pretty good. Once back to Belize City it was all I could find. I’d drink this one again, but would still chooses the Stout.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 caesar (4028) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - APR 15, 2005
This is one was better than the regular belikin beer. Quite the same skunky aroma, but softer taste.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Sweet grain aroma. Golden color, white head, good lace. Very sweet pils, malty/grainy, little bit skuny hops, bit metallic, buttery finish, soft.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jerohen (1875) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Dutch Ratebeer meeting. Clear golden coloured, dying head. Grainy and sweet, reminded me of Hollandia, and that’s not really the compliment a beer can get...
1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 bierkoning (9033) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2005
Grainy aroma and flavor. Apple in the flavor. Some hops in the background. Cardboard. Dirty aftertaste, a bit creamy. The aroma is OK, the flavor sucks.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bb (5974) - Alamo, California, USA - APR 9, 2005
Bottle. Golden color with a nice white head. LIght malt aroma. Dry and harshly carbonated. Sweet grainy flavor.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 skortila (4166) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - APR 9, 2005
Aroma is sweet and grainy. Clear, golden coloured with not much head. Taste is sweet, grainy with some hops. Watery body. Fresh beer, however uterly disgusting. :)
