3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is served in the same bottle as the normal Belikin, but this beer comes with a blue cap instead of a green one. For some reason, Belize imports mostly stout beers, but most of the imports are not as good as this nice little beer. High on the alcohol and rich with a light chocolately, coffee taste. Definately worth a try, if it ever becomes available. Not for everyone.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was too fizzy and didn’t have much flavor. It was served in the exact same bottle as the beer, which confused us. When you are on the beach in Belize, pretty much everything tastes good.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
dark burgundy with little head. aromas of coffee, caramel, honey, plantains. tasted like coffee, watercress, raisins with a plain white rice (or maybe sushi rice) aftertaste. body on the thin side, not much in the way of mouthfeel.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark ruby/black pour with no head. Aroma is banana, vegetable, molasses, very dunkel like, which this beer seems to be in general. Taste is cooked cabbage, minerally water as it warms. Cold its a little more stout-like. Not a bad beer at all really, considering location.

3.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
caramel and coffee notes, floral hops but understated, earthy, raisin and licorice, faint smoke, reddish black color, clear when held to light, frothy head quickly dissipates, light sweetness, medium bitterness, full body and mouthfeel, creamy and sticky, soft carbonation, long finish. Very nice stout but not to style...more like a Uberporter, ya’ know what I mean? Too much to be a Porter and too light to be a stout. Probably because it’s so damn HOT in Belize. This is definitely the right beer for dark beer lovers at the equator!

I LOVED this beer! I want it here. I am a fan of Bass and Guiness and such and found myself choosing the Belikin Stout over Guiness when available. I don’t know how to describe it other than it is great!

Bottle. Very dark beer with a slight reddish tint and a cocoa head. Roasty chocolate malt aroma. Creamy roasty flavor with caramel malts. Some lagar like characteristics.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Somebody needs to notify the brewer in Belize that this ain’t a stout. Maybe a bock, but definitely too light to be a stout. But given that this is one of the only stouts you can find in Belize (others are Dragon Stout and Tennets) and it’s usually pretty hot in Belize, this isn’t too bad. And it’s much better than the normal Belikin. Which isn’t saying too much. Light malt flavor with some molasses syrup and coffee. I’ll bump it up a notch just cuz I had such an amazing vacation in Belize while drinking this stout.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep cherry color with a tan head.Nose is a woody port-cabernet,kinda’ sweet. This beer is a world away from their Ale.This is like a sweet stout at first then leaves a lingering sour aftertaste.
