Bottled. 4.8%. Pale straw colour, head of medium height and density. Sourish malty palate and aroma of fresh apples. A bit watery but a good thirst-quencher.

Thanks to Jef to take this home from Russia, to let me taste some Russian beers. Yellow coloured, almost no head, but sticks ok to the glass. At first there is a lot of smell, but somehow that disappeared. The smell is not my thing, earthy, spices, citrus. Taste is a bit watery, pilsner taste, bit yeast, citrus, earthy. Expected worse, but still not good for sure.

A clear straw coloured body, with spare head and lacing. Almost no smell, but a whiff of citrus. Tastes like wet wool. Thin. Metallic finish. 500ml can purchased at the Barentsburg hotel, Spitsbergen and shared at our rating session in Tromsø 25.sep.09

Thanks to Elisabeth for buying a green 500ml can at the Barents hotel on Svalbard and carrying it back for sharing at our rating session devoted to Russian beers. Clear, straw yellow body under a loose, white head. Fragile lacework on the glass. Weak malt-fruity smell. Paper wet lemon in flavour. Foamy in the mouth. Thin bodied (IHR, Tromsø, 24.09.2009).

500ml can - exchange with SaintMatty - thanks
Pale, fizzy. Next to no aroma. Crisp carbonation. Watery palate, weak fruity retronasals. Very bland taste, filtered everything of interest out. Fortunately the nastiness is filtered out too. Pretty drinkable, but desperately bland. Hops in the finish are extracty and a touch papery. Malts thin to non-existent.

larsga (4650) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 21, 2009
Big shiny offwhite head. Yellow body with carbonation. Mealy grassy aroma with faint vegetable notes. Dry-sweetish grassy straw taste with mealy papery notes. Some apple and alcohol. Mid-bodied. Dry mealy papery aftertaste with straw notes. Decent, but boring. (0.5l can, Barentsburg hotel bar, Svalbard.)
