OleR (4802) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2011
Sample from bottle, enjoyed in the sunny back garden at the brewery. Tall, snowy white head. Near-clear, golden-yellow body. Grainy, crisp fruity nose. Notes of honey and perfume. Taste is crisp fruity as well. Fairly dry, some alcohol sweetnes only. Subtle bitterness. Light in body, considering the high abv. Tiny-bubbled, sparkling mouthfeel. Appears well balanced. A highly drinkable one.

Taster served from bottle during a visit to Huisbrouwerij Den Tseut. Unclear golden, medium sized, white head. Fresh citrus fruits to the nose. Champagne-like flavour with citric fruits, a bite of yeast and candy sweetness. Dry hopped ending with notes of alcohol. Well bodied. Pleasant (Oosteeklo, 30.04.2011).

Big offwhite head. Hazy opaque deep yellow body with carbonation. Light delicate floral herbal aroma. Dry delicate herbal peppery taste with floral fruit notes. Light body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry buttery floral herbal aftertaste with spicy notes. No alcohol taste, amazingly. Incredibly light and drinkable. (Taster at the brewery.)

Bottle - Upon opening a large object gushed out of the bottle. After a collective "WTF?" moment, it was determined that it was a hop cone! Yes, a hop cone floater. Odd, to say the least. Pours dirty blonde. White head. Little hop cone floating particles. Unfiltered, to say the least. Nose/taste of musk, yeast, orange peel, spices and hops. Medium body. Pleasant.

13/02/2011 - 75cl bottle @ De Bistronoom (2011-52)

Note: this beer is served in De Bistronoom as their housebeer, called "Den Aangespoelden", according to the owners it was already sold at their place before "Belle Cies" was put on the market.

Cloudy yellow to light orange beer. White creamy head. Aroma: very hoppy, spicy, some malts, faint yeast aroma, some of the alcohol on warming up. MF: ok fine carbon, medium body. Taste: full malts, fruity touch (peaches), hops, hint of candi sugar. Aftertaste: some candi sugar, but not cloying, taste and not too dry hops.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Opaque yellow with a small, partly lasting head. Aroma of citrus and pale malt. Flavor is pale-malty, lightly citrusy, with well-hidden alcohol. Medium body, quite thin for the ABV, actually. Again, well made and easy to drink, but not memorable. 5335

From bottle at ZBF 2010. Hazy golden colour, medium white head. Fruity, pale malty, bit alcoholic nose with citrusy hoppiness. Good sweet malty with light almond feel. Medium bodied, with a tad bitterness in the end. Not as sweet in the finish as one would expect at 10%.

Bottle @ ZBF 2010. A hazy yellow colored beer, with a thick white head. There is a fresh hopbel in the beer. The aroma of hop bitters, fruity and some malts. The taste is sparkling with hop bitter and fruits. The aftertaste is bitter with fruits.

@ ZBF 2010. Pours a light hazy yellow with a decent white head and no lacing. Candi sugar and orange juice in the nose. Taste is malty, oatmeal, and a bit boozy from the 10%. Spritzy/bubbly palate.
