Bière rousse ayant un col mousseux timide qui s’enfuit dès qu’on tourne le dos. Arômes caramélisés, épicés par le gingembre et la muscade et fruités par ce qui semble être de la pomme. Goût légèrement sucré et épicé, faible rondeur en bouche et pratiquement aucun arrière-goût. (155-240112)

Un rouge orangé agréable à voir. Faible mousse. Goût de malt caramel discret...trop discret. Agréable à boire comme une bonne lager, mais elle n’a rien de super chaleureuse comme je m’attendais.

pours clear reddish with a small beige head, little retention. sweet nutty and fruity malts, no depth, booze, toffee, light herbal hops, light acidity. aggressive carbonation, light body, short finish. meh.

341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear copper with a decent light tan head. Aroma: Fair malt notes, nutty, brown sugar, a little cherry jam, caramel, a bit vinous and woodsy, some esters and faint herbals, not bad. Palate: Medium body, reasonably lively effervescence. Flav.: Slightly minty, caramel and brown sugar notes, reasonably fruity...berries mainly, a touch woodsy and vinous, follows the nose well; dry with a little bitterness and a pleasant restrained malt finish.

Not spectacular, but drinkable.

Clear copper with a thin off-white head with above average retention. Aroma is moderately sweet with caramel, earthy notes and some nuts. Flavor is mostly toasted malt and brown sugar with a hint of earthy hops. Not overly complex but well made. Thin to medium body with average carbonation.

Deep amber pour with a thin white head. The aroma has a little bit of sweet caramel and light earthy hops. Clean and fresh with a touch of light sweetness. It’s simple but decent.

Bouteille de 341 ml achetée chez La Barik (Trois-Rivières, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel et d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est cuivrée Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de caramel avec une pointe de céréales grillées. Courte durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de caramel en arrière goût. (Rating #3504)

Purchased a 6-pack of these, this Christmas at my local convenient store. Pours a clean amber colour with a big creamy-fizz off-white head that lasts a while and creates decent lacing. Carbonation is composed of lots of tiny bubbles. Sweet malt aromas with some spices (very mild cinnamon) and hop. Mild caramel and corn taste with a slightly bitter finish that is kind of dry. The spices are lightly present to hide the corn. Not sure why they say "Bavarian Bock" on the back label, and filtered to the max, but still a decent brew for winter.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a deep orange-amber with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Mild aroma is fruity along with light spices, caramel malt and a hint of alcohol. Flavour of caramel malt, light spices and light hops. Light to average bodied. Not terribly exciting but pretty good for Belle Gueule.

bouteille 341ml. De couleur cuivrée foncée et claire. Nez de caramel sucré, léger de grains de malt sucrés et aux notes rôties avec des notes de houblon herbeux et des traces de pain grillé. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aux notes huileuses. Goût de grains de malt moyennement sucrés et légèrement rôtis accompagné de traces d’épices lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un moyen goût de caramel avec des notes de pain grillé et des petites traces de sucre brûlé puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées, notes de foin) avec des notes de noix asséchantes et d’alcool doux. Post-goût moyen-court, légèrement amer de rôti, léger de houblon herbeux avec des petites notes de noix et d’alcool.
